How information is collected
Most of the personal information collected from you will be during direct contact with you, i.e. over the phone, when you send us correspondence (by letter, fax or email), and when you visit our website or contact us in person.

As is required by law to have your consent to collect “sensitive information” from you, we will assume you have consented to all collections of information provided by you to us to use in accordance with this policy, unless you specify otherwise.

Users can generally browse the Wash n Shop website without revealing their identity or any personal information. We will not collect any information from visitors to our website unless and when they knowingly provide such information. (E.g. via email, ‘contact us’ form, applying for memberships or a position of employment via the website).
Wash n Shop does not use secure communications to transmit information on the internet, so if you do not wish to send emails or use an online form, you can send a postal mail address specified in the contact us section of this policy.

When you visit the Wash n Shop website, we make record of your visit and log the pages accessed by any users. This information is used for administrative and website improvement purposes. No information regarding your identity or other information is obtained without your knowledge when browsing the website.

Security and storage of your personal information
Your personal information is stored in our secure servers or files. Wash n Shop will endeavour to take all reasonable measures to keep your personal information secure.
Personal information of customers, partners, clients, staff, franchisees, debtors and creditors, candidates, members, etc is held by us in a combination of computer storages facilities and paper-based files.
Our secure servers can only be accessed by authorized Wash n Shop personnel. All data stored can be accessed in combination with a valid user name and password. Access controls are in place to limit information being visible to all valid users.
Wash n Shop’s network is secured in a virtual private network and is protected by Firewall technology.
The internet, however, is not always a secure way to transmit information. Hence, Wash n Shop does not accept responsibility for security of information you send and receive from us via the internet or for any unauthorized use or access of information. Wash n Shop provides alternative ways of obtaining and providing information for those who do not wish to use the internet.
All of Wash n Shop’s employees follow the practices in this policy. In order to safeguard all collected information no one is permitted to record, access or disclose information for any purpose other than that for which it is intended.
Accessing your personal information
You can easily access the personal information that Wash n Shop may hold about you by contacting the Wash n Shop Privacy Compliance Manager. Details can be found in the ‘contact us’ section of this policy.
You will be provided with access to your personal information unless we are legally authorized or obligated to refuse your request.
Keeping your personal information up-to-date
Wash n Shop takes reasonable measure to ensure the accuracy, completeness and currency of your personal information whenever it is collected or used.
If the personal information about you is not current, complete or accurate please do not hesitate to contact us as we will take all reasonable measures to correct it.
We aim to respond as rapidly as possible to your request; this should take no more than 14 days.
Complaints regarding your privacy
If you have a complaint about a breach of your privacy or how your personal information was collected or used, please forward your complaint to our Privacy Compliance Manager at the address detailed below. We will respond to your complaint as quickly as possible but not more than 14 days after the complaint has been made.
If you are not satisfied with the response you receive you can forward your concerns in writing to the Managing Director at the postal address below. You will receive a response within 14 days.
